ACCESS
Akihabara is connected by the JR Yamanote Line, which links city centers in Tokyo, the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line, and the JR Sobu Line as well as by the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line (Suehirocho Station).
Tsukuba Express, which was launched in August 2005, takes 45 minutes to travel between Akihabara and Tsukuba Science City, where high-level educational and research institutes are clustered.

This illustration shows the time taken to travel from each of major stations to Akihabara Station. However, it does not include the time required for changing trains or for walking from Akihabara Station to Akihabara Crossfield.
*Passengers traveling from Narita Airport have to change trains at JR Ueno Station, while those from Haneda Airport have to change trains from the Tokyo Monorail to the JR Line at JR Hamamatsucho Station.
